Aluminium ArtBox
The subject as a real photo print hangs in the Aluminum ArtBox. The framework creates an entirely new appearance - in the front and it is almost borderless, and his great depth, it looks like an object.

Teen "models"

They want to present themselves in a new light and show the world that they already feel grown up. But is every pose suitable for every age?

This is a decision that every photographer has to make on his/her own, but for me it's always some kind of a balancing act. I always try to consult the wishes of my young "models", but in the end I'm the one who is responsible for what the photos look like and that the posing doesn't look inappropriate for the age of the "model".

Here are two examples from my last teen - shooting ...
in the end it's the mix that counts!

Wedding photography

The probably most important day of your life wants to be captured, if only in bridal couple portraits (with and without parents and / or witnesses) after the wedding (next to the church, the registry office or at another location) or as a photo - documentation that reflects the day, or just the ceremony.

bridal couple portrait © 2009 by Nina Hüttmann

Please note, if you like to have the ceremony captured at church or at the registry office, to clarify the following things in advance:
1. Ask the the pastor or the registrar if
flash – photography is permitted during the ceremony.
Reason:
- Based on my experience, working without flash in dark spaces (e.g. at church) is very difficult and often leads to the fact that a good quality of the images can not be guaranteed
- Unfortunately, the same applies even with flash for very dark churches and premises, because even the best photo equipment has its limits in low light conditions.

2. An other advantage is, if I'm allowed to move freely within the premises during the ceremony, because that's the only way to shoot different motifs / scenes.
Reason:
- The bride and groom are usually bound to a single position during the ceremony, and without me moving around it is hardly possible to photograph various subjects

Further information:
A wedding is not a press conference, thus, it is rather disturbing, though countless other people take pictures during the ceremony (especially in church), this should be coordinated with the guests by the bride and groom in advance

I rather work with reserve for not producing the above-mentioned impression or to disturbe the ceremony, but still capturing all important moments, so that a temporal sequence in the photos can be seen, but I try as far as possible to stay in the background.

Do you have any questions or would like to have a quotation for YOUR wedding?
Please use the contact form on my website at www.ninahuettmann.de or simply click HERE!

PS: Junge Fotografie Hamburg do not offer universally valid wedding-packages, each offer is individually compiled for your needs, so you only pay for the things you really want.

Nina Hüttmann at seen.by

The
seen.by - art - community supported by Spiegel Online is certainly one of the more exclusive communities on the market. Unlike many other photo communities, where you can upload all photos you want, the photos here have to be accepted and released by the editors before they appear on your profil.

I published at seen.by some photos of my fashion- projects. Once again I worked with minimal equipment only and remained faithful to the style of "natural - light - photography".

Since a couple of days, one of the first photos of my current project, "Yellow" is now to be seen on my profil at seen.by, more will follow!

So regular visiting is worthwhile! ;o)

---
I would also like to thank the girls (no models, but friends) who‘ve done a great job, especially because they felt so uneasy in the beginning of being in public with their styling... but I think the result speaks for itself!

Show us your pet!

Animal- or pet photography ... yes! But even here not the classical trivialized images, which can often be seen on postcards. Sure some dogs and cats are excellent for such motives, but in a real environment you can show your pet so much better and get a remembrance of the real being of your "companion"!

Hamburg from a different point of view!

There are different ways to get to know Hamburg.
On foot, via sightseeing or by boat.

how beautiful things can be, that otherwise look rather inconspicuous.

Summertime...

... my favourite season as a photographer.
It's getting warmer, people show up in less clothes, kids are able to play outside in the sun and the whole world seems to relax.

photo © 2009 by Nina Hüttmann

It's simply the best time for me and my ambition in photography, because through
playing with natural sunlight my pictures get their own personal touch. Spacious outdoor - locations also give me the opportunity - especially while working with kids - to photograph them without really being noticed and give me the chance to show them how they really are.

My trip to the Wildlife Park Eekholt

photos © 2009 by Nina Hüttmann
- music by Bert Jerred -

The Wildlife Park Eekholt is about 50 km north from Hamburg (federal state: Schleswig Holstein) and opens every morning at 9 o'clock. The diversity of species and the beautiful grounds can hardly left any wishes and offers extensive information about our native species, which are available via information boards, flight demonstrations, feedings and guided walks.

More information about the park, the animals, the playground and barbecue facilities, as well as the journey by car and the HVV (public transport) can be found at:

Mensch Macht Politik

The entrepreneur Marco Scheffler from Hamburg / Eimsbüttel has enough of the bleating about our politics and acts ...

photo © by Nina Hüttmann - Hamburg 2009

With the idea of applying to the ZDF political talent show "Ich kann Kanzler" (I can be chancellor) the foundation was laid. The Making-Of Video of the „Ich kann Kanzler" - application can be found here (at YouTube) Just in time of today's application deadline all is finished and the timing seems just perfect to start with the actual campaign "Mensch Macht Politik".

- have a look at -

(our-new-chancellor)

As the name of the domain suggests, the application to this TV-Show is not the end, much more will follow...

Don't forget Aids!

- banner by freshlabs -

On the occasion of the current German campaign

"Ich habe Aids nicht vergessen... und Du?"
(I haven't forgotten Aids... what about you?)

I decided to write an entry in my blog.

Cause every little note about this topic, might bring AIDS back into the people minds. Even if the disease is now treatable and apparently has lost its terror, it is still NOT curable!!! And the number of people infected rising every day!

Especially young people think more about "prevention of pregnancy" than about "protection against diseases", which in my mind is an alarming development.

While six German citizens died of the consequences of terror in 2008, which is an everyday issue in media, there were 650 people who have died of AIDS!
Think about it and get informed!

Junge Fotografie at Facebook

I founded a group at Facebook.

The reason why I did it, is that over the time more and more of my photos (made by Junge Fotografie) are presented at photo albums of several members at this community. Some of these photos are even used as profile picture.

You can find this group at:
Junge Fotografie - Nina Huettmann - Hamburg

Everybody who is interested in my work is most welcome at this group and might also be able to talk to other members about experiences they made with me as a photographer.

Have fun... I hope you like to contribute!

One of my 2008 projects

model: Sofia
dress / style: 1960s

photos © by Nina Hüttmann - Hamburg 2008
- for more photo click here -

Who am I ...

... and why do I work as I do?

I am a photographer from Hamburg / Germany whose aim is to make pictures at places where people feel comfortable. For me one of the most important things in my portraits is to include a glimpse of the persons personality, that‘s why I work at locations that are chosen by my "models", instead of working in front of impersonal studio backgrounds. Whether at their home, a special favorite place, or an environment that currently represents an important part of their life.

It‘s the challenge that makes me love my profession and my way of working. Again and again, new people, new places and new situations, which is also the reason why all my photos have their very own individuality.

Especially the work under the open sky and the usage of natural light represents my photos and show the people how they really are....
that is to say, of their most beautiful side!

Nina
