Photoshooting with Anja Frost

Anja Frost, who works nationwide among others in the field of stress management as a freelance trainer and coach since 2009, has booked me for portraits photos as visual support for her new website "Sexological Bodywork & the Art of flowing Pleasure", a few weeks ago. Since I already knew her from a "private" photo shoot a few years ago, where we understood very well right away, I was really looking forward to meet her again. 

The weather was great, the Elbstrand (Hamburg/Germany) was selected as photo-location and with her relaxed and openminded personality the shoot again became a very fun event, which is also reflected in the photos.

The term "Sexological Bodywork" for me was something completely new and initially a little irritating, but it's an in the state of California (USA) already officially recognized profession that deals with body awareness, love of life and sexuality and includes the unusual combination of individually aligned bodywork & coaching, by which people can develop a more intense body-sensation and as a result find a more open way to themselves, their bodies and their sexuality.

The perfect Application-Portrait

You are a young professional, want to get hold of your dream job or risk a career change?

Concept Photography - Project: DEITY

A free photo project for 2011 was ready to be designed. There were a lot of ideas and a basic concept was quickly developed.

But everything else was still open ..... A plan was needed, a location must to be found, colours chosen and an individual look developed. Oh and a model of course had to be found.

Since the Hamburg weather is anything but stable, one must be flexible about the date for such an outdoor shoot. And although the make-up artist unfortunately was no longer available for the day, a solution was easily found. Internet! The make-up instructions are better than expected! : o)

Time and venue were set, breakfast bought, coffee made and the shooting day was ready to start! And we were facing a long and quite exhausing day - especially my model!

Because I generally choose people, that have no shooting experiences, for my free work, there is always the question of whether the person is able to get involved with me and the concept or not. A question of experience and chemistry!

It always makes me happy to guide the people in front of my camera in a very personal and relaxed way, to convey the model the feeling that‘s behind the concept, so that it will be expressed in the later pictures. This is how my most expressive photos arise...

The choice of date has not always something to do with the date of their first kiss, or the day they got to know each other, but there are often chosen data that are easy to remember, such as dates with identical numbers or dates with combinations of numbers that are acting symmetrically.

Many wedding dates are set under theses "conditions", but the months May, June and September still are the most popular months for weddings.

Although there is no longer something like „banns“ and therfore no more registration deadlines, but still the procurement to get together all necessary documents and the examination of the requirements for getting married by the registery office takes time, which should be taken into account, cause only after all is checked you are able to set up the date for the wedding.

Couples who want to get married in church as well, should also take note that this is only possible after the civil ceremony.

And photographers, of course, only have a limited number of appointments that they can handle!
